Authorization Forms

Books ask for the (among other things when using a credit card) for a color copy of both the front and back of the credit card. Does anyone know if it's okay to black out the 3 digits on the back of card before sending this or will you be rejected?

Office Depot made color copies of all needed forms except driver's lisc. "not allowed". How can this be?
I made one from home printer, but wanted it from them to show lack of color. Stupid to put up with this

why are you printing anything? Take a picture of the front of card with your phone, then back of your card. Send it in an email to the book along with their "form" and done.

Printing because I don't have a smart phone. My cell phone will take a picture, but not sure of it's quality. Then I have no idea how to get the picture onto my computer to email it. This way, I can take the photos and using my printer scan to computer and send to their email address. This is the end for me with credit cards.
